Orvis Battenkill Bamboo Rod - early 8' 2/2 5wt 5' Lime silk wrapsFor sale here is an early 8' 2 2 Orvis Battenkill impregnated bamboo rod. Made for a 5 or 6 weight line. Serial #7161 made in 1949 by Cal Skinner. The rod is in excellent original condition. All sections are full length and straight. The grip is very slightly ridged and has one hook gouge. Replacement bag and tube. Ferrules are size 13 64 and the fit is excellent. Aluminum down locking reel seat. The rod weighs 4 3 8 oz. Medium action.
