REVEREND HORTON HEAT - The Full-Custom Gospel Sounds of LP (colour vinyl) hardcore with our heroes boldly soldiering

with our heroes boldly soldiering on

Recorded at Flegel’s Realistik Studios in Toronto and featuring younger brother Andrew Flegel on drums

During the 50s he gained something of a reputation as a cast member of Red Foley's 'Jubilee USA' TV show and he made his mark on the original 'Ozark Jubilee' show on ABC

until John Dwyer of Thee Oh Sees saw the four-piece playing on a shared bill last and returned home raving about them

Normil Hawaiians cover an awful amount of ground in such a short time-frame on this record and these tracks document all the glittering debris from their magpie's nest

REVEREND HORTON HEAT - The Full-Custom Gospel Sounds of LP (colour vinyl) hardcore with our heroes boldly soldieringLimited edition coke bottle clear colour vinyl. Highly recommended. You hear the Rockabilly roots, but due to the Punk attitude this is more into a Psychobilly direction. Excursions into psychedelic territory and into Blues Rock are present as well. The distorted, rather aggressive, but always virtuous guitar playing of the Reverend is very good and worth listening. Significantly more consistent than the debut.
