George fly reel that features a silent check mechanism
Good used condition with some general cosmetic wear throughout and there is a slight twist to the reel foot though I don't think it will affect how the reel mounts (it didn't when I tested it)

The reel was actually priced separately in the 1978 catalog but only offered as part of the presentation set in the 1977 catalog

Peerless #2 Reel 7'5" George fly reel that featuresA nice Peerless model 2 fly reel, 3 1 4" diameter and set up for LHW. Good used condition, with moderate rim rash on the frame edges concentrated in the "resting spot" and some mounting marks to the foot, but pretty clean otherwise. Clear anodized frame and spool with black anodized sideplates. Classic S handle design. The spool and sideplate on the cranking side are ventilated. The reel weighs 5. 1 ounces on my scale. Designed for a #5 or #6 line
