Antique Quilt Block Hand Embroidered Silk Cigar Ribbon civil war era title in pencil lower leftAntique cigar ribbons which were used to wrap bundles of cigars are here pieced together in a colorful graphic block. Sewn onto a muslin backing with a fancy feather stich embroidered along all edges. Shades of blue and yellow with the cigar names printed in black, including, Owl, General Good, Senators. Unframed, edges are raw, likely was going to become a pillow or part of a quilt, some fraying to silk, edge wear. 15" square.
