The bands dark and heavy noise element is inverted where moods come to the surface in furtive fleeting moments primarily through voice samples sticky with thick chugging rhythms
Produced by Sean Ono Lennon
and oddly funny spoken word bits
like that mellow Big in Japan material
and thereby developing a new way of composing freely
TAJ-MAHAL TRAVELERS - July 15, 1972 LP quick order The bands dark and heavyLimited to 750 copies. Includes poster. Highly recommended. This legendary Japanese group's debut album is as much a collective tone poem as psych workout. Featuring longtone concepts that Takehisa Kosugi discovered while working with sound generators in New York in the mid '60s. Leader less sounds coalesce into a unified whole that feels both subconscious and sublime.
