Black anodized throughout. Good used condition with a few spots of rim rash here and there on the loaded spool and one tiny spot on the edge of the spare spool. 1" spool width. Nice smooth click with a powerful drag that's adjusted by the dial on the rear plate. My understanding is that Herron manually machined these with no CNC involvement. The reel
