Completely clean otherwise
self-adjusting carbon fiber disk drag
This is not just an unusual rod but a once-in-a-lifetime find
The rod is housed in a small passport sized case (6 1/2" x 3 3/8" x 7/8") with a slot for the grip and one for the sections
Very nice varnish coats
Thomas and Thomas Bamboo Salmon Rod 9' 3/2 #9 12' Completely clean otherwiseA Thomas and Thomas bamboo salmon rod, 9', 3 piece, 2 tips, and built for a #9 line. Serial #4277 with a 1986 manufacture date. The rod weighs a hefty 9 ounces on my scale (the label sticker states it as 5 3 4 ounces). Very light use with a grip with almost no hand soiling. Unfortunately the nickel silver uplocking screwlock has some damage due to what appears to have been a set of pliers which has also created a little cosmetic damage to the walnut
