Muromachi Tanto, signed Kanefusa, February 1522 Arms & Armour Model 1850 Cavalry SabreA late Ashikaga (Muromachi) period Mino school Tanto, in striking red saya (scabbard). The date February 1522 is engraved on the tang, as well as the name "Kanefusa". Menuki in the shape of a rooster. Family crest present on Fuchi and Saya. The Hamon is a Gunome. Nakago (Tang) signature: Kanefusa Taiei 2nen 2gatsu (2nd month, 2nd year Taiei, or February 1522) Kissaki (Tip): Shobu Zukkuri
