The distillery's owners claim it was founded in 1798. Located in the town of Kirkwall in the Orkney Islands, Highland Park produces a spicy and smoky single malt and is one of the few distilleries in Scotland to use its own maltings. The bottlings bear names reminiscent of the Vikings. Highland Park matured for 14 years. in sherry and bourbon casks.
