This dress is late 1970s or early 1980s vintage and was formally owned by the wife of an ambassador

There are no fastenings and the dress just slips on over the head with a pretty collar detail at the lowered back

There is an additional ochre coloured over-stitched zig-zag pattern on the neckline

The inside of the bust has gentle boning to it and the dress fastens down the back with the original central zip and hook and eye

The colour of the silk is like a blush; somewhere between peach and pink, with high quality lace cut out work on the sides and hemline. They fasten to the front with three, real pearlescent buttons.
