That black velvet wide panel that wraps around the hips continues around to the back and is gathered in heavily at the centre and then flares out into a panel of black velvet that sweeps down to the floor and slightly past the hem of the silk skirt

The result is that you get a stunning bit of volume through the skirt as it flares out around you and moves when you move and then both the skirt and the sleeves have a touch of transparency to them so you get a suggestion of leg and arm showing

This is truly a piece that needs an actual body in it to come to life and my dress form is not doing it full justice

It is entirely made by hand to Haute Couture standards

The coat is easy to wear with it skimming over the body cut

He started his fashion career in 1993 working for Thierry Mugler as an intern and working his way up to assistant designer to Mugler himself. In 1997 he joined Jean Paul Gaultier where he in charge of the Couture collections for the following eight years.
