Malloch, PD - Sun & Planet Fly Reel 4 1/4" 7 Weight Buy some angling history -For sale here is a good example of a german silver rimmed PD Malloch Sun & Planet fly reel. Diameter is 4 1 4". Generally good condition. Crack or deep scratch to the back plate. The reel foot is bent at both ends but can be straightened. Here is Dr. Andrew Herd's writeup of the ingenious Sun & Planet reels.
