Prunus sargentii Spreading moist ground and protectionProbably the best cherry for multi season interest. In spring it produces a great unmistakeable cloud of brilliant rose pink single flowers, followed by bronze red new foliage which seasons to green by summer, then, unexpectedly, phases into spectacularly fiery autumn tones which rival even the acers in intensity.
