There is a small area where the edge of the seat meets the grip that has been folded over on itself (see pictures)

The reel is a direct drive

and one spool has some crud and corrosion down toward the drum (a good cleaning may very well take care of it)

with the wet it is a bit slower in the tip as one would expect

Likely a model 208 based on the specs and I have listed it as such. 4. 9 ounces. A "Sold by Clapp and Treat, Hartford" rod. Refinished with a replaced grip and reel seat spacer. Medium slow action.
