The patina on this one a beautiful thing
There appears to be a signature in pencil on the back of the frame
It contained a smoking room
the sampler shows a few small stains and a couple of loose threads
with a little dryness to the wood and darkening to the brush end of the wood and top of the bristles
National Aniline & Chemical Co. Nacco Dyes Color Samples on Thread, 90 Colors antique art school The patina on this oneMore total gorgeousness this the second of two antique dye color samplers listed today, both I think about as good as it gets. I seem to have an insatiable want for color these days, and these feel like pure sustenance to me. This one, for Nacco Dyes, was produced by the National Aniline & Chemical Co., c. 1910s 20s and features 90 color samples, applied to a mix of silks, wools, and cottons, thus feeling like a textile sampler as well as a color one.
